Teenager hit by car in Narre Warren, southeast Melbourne

A teenage boy is fighting for his life in hospital after being hit by a car in Melbourne’s southeast on Friday.

Police said the 16-year-old boy was struck in Pound Road, Narre Warren South, at around 4.30pm.

An air ambulance, mobile intensive care ambulance and advanced critical care paramedics were called to the scene.

The boy was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said the woman driving the car was examined at the scene after it crashed into a tree.

A police spokesperson said: “The exact circumstances of the collision are not yet known and an investigation is ongoing.”
