Man dies after motorcycle collides with curb in Canberra’s north

A 24-year-old man has died after a motorcycle accident in Canberra’s north this morning.

Police said the motorcycle crashed into a curb on Canopus Crescent, Gilaran, about 5.45am.

He died at the scene.

The area in front of Gillaran’s store was cordoned off while ACT Police’s Major Collision Team investigated.

Police are appealing to witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.

The man’s death is the ACT’s fourth road fatality this year.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner. (ABC News: Mark Moore)
