'Cancelled': Arijit Singh announces retirement from playback singer, fans stunned

In a move that shocked the entire music industry, superstar singer Arijit Singh announced his retirement from playback singing. The much-loved vocalist has revealed that he will not be taking on any new work as a playback singer in the future.

“I have no intention of taking on a new mission.”

Arijit made the announcement through a note on social media and thanked his listeners for the love he has received over the years. In the message, the singer said, “Hello everyone, Happy New Year. I would like to thank you all for giving me so much love over the years as a listener. I am happy to announce that I will no longer be taking up any new duties as a playback vocalist.
