Border 2 was released in theaters on January 23rd and is currently in its third week. Movies starring Sunny Dru, Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty Box office sales were strong. It opened with Rs 300 crore on the first day and witnessed a significant increase in the first weekend. Needless to say, it benefited greatly from: republic day holiday. It earned Rs 5,450 crore on Sunday and Rs 59 million on Republic Day. After a strong holiday period, movie box office receipts were expected to be lower compared to weekdays, and that’s exactly what happened. The film earned Rs 224.25 million at the end of the first week and Rs 10.75 billion in its second week on Friday. It saw growth on its ninth day on Saturday, earning Rs 17.75 billion, and on Sunday, it had earned Rs 2.25 billion till evening. According to Saknilk, the total collection of ‘Border’ stands at Rs 275.25 million so far. The film saw a slight increase in its second weekend, but the numbers were not as high as “Dhurandal”, which earned more in its second week than its first.

meanwhile, Rani Mukerji‘s ‘Mardaani 3’ was released this Friday, but ‘Border 2’ was better than that. However, star Rani Mukerji showed improvement on Saturday thanks to positive word of mouth and we can expect the same on Sunday. The film was released for Rs 400 crore amidst a strategy to release the film in limited screens. It earned Rs 6.25 billion on Saturday and according to early estimates, it earned Rs 7.25 billion on Sunday. The film’s total collection currently stands at Rs 1.75 crore.
