NBC 5, Telemundo 39, and the City of Dallas, in collaboration with HELP (Hope Encourage Love Protect), invite you to walk with us in the 2026 City of Dallas MLK Parade in Dallas on Monday, January 19th at 10:30 a.m.
The parade will once again be held with the powerful theme of “United in Purpose, Together,” honoring the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The parade celebrates Dallas’ commitment to being a leader in compassion, justice, and shared progress. A parade is more than just a walk. It is a movement that invites us to move forward together to honor Dr. King’s dream.
The parade features an impressive lineup of more than 200 entries showcasing creative floats, dance teams, cultural organizations, first responders, youth groups, civic partners, and more. Richard Miles, founder of the organization Miles of Freedom, will serve as the parade’s grand marshal. Between 25,000 and 70,000 people are expected to attend.
The kickoff ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. at the MLK Center. The parade begins at 10:30 a.m. at MLK Blvd and SM Wright and ends at Fair Park. The parade route has been expanded to accommodate improved accessibility and an optimal route experience. Click here for more information about the parade and its route. here.
