The Canadian Medical Association wants a national registry, and the Canadian Public Health Association says the federal government should provide funding to provinces and territories, especially to improve the availability of interoperable data.

The Public Health Agency of Canada said it is focused on working with provinces and territories to improve the sharing of vaccination data. “Canada’s federal system includes 13 health systems managed by provinces and territories, making a single national immunization registration model difficult,” the agency said.
