Promotion for Super Mario Galaxy Movie is well underway, and we recently received confirmation that the film will be getting a coveted commercial spot at the Super Bowl. It appears that this isn’t the only soccer-related promotion for the film, as it was revealed that the film was also promoted in a television spot on CBS Sports.

Football commentator Nate Burleson posted the above spot on his Instagram page, where he and co-star Coach Cowher enthusiastically explain Yoshi’s role in the new movie. The spot ends with a reminder that Super Mario Galaxy Movie will be released in theaters on April 1, 2026.

It should be noted that it is unknown if this spot is actually the one that will be played during the Super Bowl or if it is simply part of an unrelated promotion. We’ll find out at the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 8, 2026.
