The White House said it is expected to be completed “well before the end of the president’s term.” New flags installed Two large 88-foot flagpoles were installed at the president’s direction on either side of the White House. The Oval Office gets a golden makeover Inside the White House, the president has undergone many changes. It is common for each president to repaint or change furniture and portraits. The area in front of the fireplace, where the president usually sits with other world leaders, is now further decorated with gilded flair. The door leading outside from the Oval Office also has gold accents. There is also a new larger sign next to the door, as well as other signs around the White House. The presidential cabinet room has been similarly renovated to feature more gold accents. The West Wing walkway will be modified The West Colonnade, the outdoor corridor from the official residence to the West Wing, will feature gold accents and a Presidential Walk of Fame with portraits of past presidents. The president has been criticized for promoting disinformation about his administration over his shields from former Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden. New look for the Rose Garden The Rose Garden has been transformed into an outdoor patio with tables and umbrellas inspired by the Presidential Mar-a-Lago resort.
