Oakdale native to pilot historic Super Bowl LX overpass

Immediately after the national anthem on Sunday, Air Force and Navy will fly together over Levi’s Stadium for the big game. It’s the first time they’ve done something like this. The Oakdale native is one of the pilots participating in the Super Bowl flyover. His name is Lt. Dalton Stewart. He is a Navy pilot and flies an F,18 Super Hornet. He is based at Naval Air Station Lemoore, just south of Fresno. And he said such flyovers require a lot of preparation and have big football fans. He said he’s looking forward to Sunday, saying it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and he’s really excited to represent the Navy and his hometown, where he’s from, where he grew up, and what made him who he is today on the world stage. Okay, so he didn’t want to spoil it.
