MotoGP is back! All eyes will be on Buriram this weekend as the Thai Grand Prix kicks off the season once again after the winter break and pre-season testing. From media day to lights out on Sunday, here’s the complete schedule for the MotoGP weekend.
Thursday: MotoGP Media Day in Buriram
The race weekend begins on Thursday with media duties and fan-focused enrichment events. The top three riders from last season will appear at the MotoGP press conference. Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team), Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) and Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing). The press conference will be held at 18:00 (UTC+7).
Earlier in the day, a group photo session will be streamed live on motogp.com from 15:40 local time. Jack Appleyard and Lewis Suddaby will also be on hand at 5:40pm to help fans gear up for the weekend.
Friday: Free practice and MotoGP track action
Friday will see the first competitive track action of the 2026 MotoGP season. Moto3 will depart at 09:00 and Moto2 will follow at 09:50. The Premier class will take to the track at 10:45am for a 45-minute free practice session.
After the lunch break, action resumes at 13:15, with the MotoGP 60-minute practice session starting at 15:00. Friday’s run will be crucial as the riders aim for strong lap times and a direct place into Q2.
Saturday: Qualifying and Tissot Sprint
Saturday will begin with a final free practice session for each class, followed by MotoGP qualifying at 10:50, with grid spots for both Sunday’s Grand Prix and Tissot Sprint being contested.
The sprint race will start at 15:00 on Saturday, giving riders their first chance of the year to win silver medals and points.
