The 28-year-old singer-songwriter complained to X about the incident on Tuesday, promising to provide affected fans with free tickets to future shows and autographed records to “soften the blow.”
“I am completely devastated for the 65 ticket holders who were refused entry to the show in Paris on Sunday night. This is completely unacceptable and wrong.”
“I was told this was a system error with Ticketmaster, meaning 65 tickets were not fully authenticated at the time of purchase. This is outside of my control and I am sad and disappointed.”
“While we understand that everyone affected has been refunded and given a voucher by Ticketmaster, we would like to offer all 65 people who were unable to attend the show a free ticket to any future Ray show of their choice and a signed vinyl record. We will be contacting you regarding this shortly.”
“I know this doesn’t make up for this mess in the slightest, but all I can think of at this point is to soften the blow.
“I sincerely apologize to those affected. I love you, Ray.”
A Ticketmaster spokesperson said: “A small number of fans experienced technical issues entering the show.
“While we understand this does not replace the show, we have provided full refunds and gift cards to those affected.”
The company added that the affected tickets accounted for less than 0.6% of total sales.
