LOS ANGELES — Jaylen Brown had 32 points, eight rebounds and seven assists and the Boston Celtics beat the Los Angeles Lakers 111-89 on Sunday night, sweeping the season series between the NBA’s most storied rivals.

Peyton Pritchard scored 30 points with six 3-pointers and eight assists. celticshave won three straight and eight of nine games as they try to close the gap on Detroit, who leads the Eastern Conference standings.

Brown and Pritchard each scored 19 points in the second half, and Pritchard sealed the win with a step-back 3-pointer with 3:24 left, and the Lakers emptied their benches amid boos.
