ŠKODA celebrates 125 years of rallying with special edition Fabia RS Rally2 – Auto Trader NZ

ŠKODA has launched the Fabia RS Rally 2 Anniversary Edition to celebrate 125 years of motorsport success.

Although it is now only a car brand, Škoda’s motorsport roots date back to 1901 and are rooted in motorcycle racing.

At the time, Narcís Podsedníček was competing in a race from Paris to Berlin on a Rollin & Clement motorcycle.

For those not familiar with the brand, it is a Czech car manufacturer founded in 1895, which later merged with Skoda in 1925 to create the brand we know today.

To commemorate this milestone 125 years later, all Fabia RS Rally2s purchased in 2026 will be equipped with this commemorative package.

This Anniversary Edition adds polycarbonate windows, crossmember covers, an updated center panel and magnesium OZ wheels finished in a special tint.

There is also a special livery covering the Fabia’s wider body panels, but in any case it is likely to be covered in the racing team’s own colors.

Beneath its race-ready exterior, this Fabia is powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 216kW.

Transmission is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed transmission, with front and rear mechanical locking differentials.
