Paul scored on a rebound of Charles-Edouard Datus’ shot at 13:37 of the second period, increasing the lead to 3-1.
“Obviously that third goal hurt us,” Philadelphia manager Rick Tocchet said. “This is one of those games. If you play the game long enough, you get into those types of games.”
The Lightning scored four points on eight shots in the third period.
“Early in the third we got a little bit of a lead, but they had to kind of press, and I think we just took advantage of where they were trying to press,” Point said.
Gonsalves received a pass from Kucherov on a rush, went from backhand to forehand, and slid the puck under the stick of Flyers defenseman Travis Sanheim to score head-on, giving Tampa Bay a 4-1 lead at 2:03.

Hagel skated down the middle of the ice and finished off a pass from Jake Guentzel to make it 5-1 at 3:37.
Tippett scored a power-play goal at 4:45 to bring the Flyers within 5-2.
Gould completed a breakaway at 9:00 to make it 6-2 after Philadelphia forward Trevor Zegras turned the puck over at Tampa Bay’s blue line.
Gonsalves scored his second goal at 11:00 with a shot from the right circle, making it a 7-2 final.
