According to the press release, it’s not entirely clear whether Apple Creator Studio is required to get the new iPad apps. The Mac version is available as a one-time purchase for $49.99, but Apple hasn’t specifically mentioned a similar purchase option for the iPad.
Pixelmator Pro has always been Mac-only, even though the original Pixelmator app is also available for both iPhone and iPad. However, the app has received minimal updates in recent years. Even before Apple acquired it, the Pixelmator development team focused most of its efforts on Pixelmator Pro for Mac.
