Noskova took a 4-1 lead in the first set and never looked back, breaking six times in total for a 6-3, 6-0 victory in just 58 minutes. Noskova is close to breaking into the top 10 of the world rankings and reached the quarter-finals in Melbourne in 2024 at the age of 19.

Next up, she will face Tayla Preston. She advanced by defeating Shuai Zhang in three sets. The deciding set moved in different directions, with Preston pushing for a breakup but being pegged back on two separate occasions. She broke for the third time and won 6-3, 2-6, 6-3.

Despite being low in the rankings, Preston has made an excellent start to the season, winning five of seven matches and reaching the semi-finals ahead of a home slam in Hobart. Still, Noskova is expected to win in straight sets.
