That said, City probably have one more move. Report from Ahad Shaukat caught offside Brentford right-back Michael Keiode has been identified as a player City are interested in. After all, Hugo Viana could make another move during this month’s transfer window.

Ahad Shaukat reports on CaughtOffside that Michael Kayode’s impressive form at Brentford has attracted the attention of Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Inter Milan, Newcastle United and Tottenham. Shaukat also reported that Manchester City have emerged as the most serious suitors for the Italian right-back. According to Shaukat’s report, the most likely scenario seems to be for City to sign Kayode from Brentford in the summer. Finally, Shaukat reports that Brentford could sign Kayode for a transfer fee of between €35 million and €40 million if they decide to sign the talented young right-back.

If Manchester City were to enter the market for a right-back now or in the summer, they could do far worse than signing Michael Cayode from Brentford. Keiode made a permanent move this season after a loan spell with Fiorentina and has impressed at Brentford. He has made 27 appearances in all competitions for Brentford this season and looks like he has exciting defensive potential.

As a defender, Michael Kayode has all the ingredients needed to be a great defender. The Italian international has exceptional intelligence, which helps him with his defensive positioning. With his speed, athleticism, and strength, Kayode is more than capable on the defensive end. This has been evident this season as he has been able to cope physically well in the Premier League. Kayode times his challenges well, and Kayode’s ability to take advantage of well-timed sliding challenges is reminiscent of Nathan Ake. That being said, Kayode is by no means the perfect defender. There is still a lot of room for improvement in his play as a defender.

In possession, he is very good at running the ball. He tends to take longer strides when coming up the pitch, which allows him to advance the ball with ease. As a passer, Kayode is a clean passer who can make a variety of passes. Kayode is adept at helping Brentford maintain possession and is adept at playing passes with his left foot as well as his right. Kayode is not a special crosser with the ball, but this aspect of his game needs to improve. Overall, Kayode could be a player who significantly improves his game under Pep Guardiola.

If there is a move in the transfer window, Viana have already indicated their intention to move. If Manchester City’s director of football felt he could sign Kayode this month, he would jump at it. Whether Brentford consider selling Michael Cayode this month is another matter entirely.

Michael Kayode is probably a player Manchester City are looking to sign in the summer. Considering his age, potential and obvious talent, it’s easy to see why City will be tracking Michael Kayode’s performances this season. The Italian right-back could be a player who slots smoothly into Pep Guardiola’s squad.
