For taking a holistic approach to healthcare, Elmira’s Courtney Bauman won the 2025 Social Prescribing Connector Award.

In her role at Woolwich Community Health Center, Bauman refers patients to non-medical services such as exercise classes, art groups and volunteer opportunities that contribute to their physical and mental health.

Regarding the award from the Canadian Institute of Social Prescribing, she said, “I am extremely honored to be chosen as one of the recipients.”
