“I think D-White should be an All-Star,” Brown said. “He’s been playing well. He’s been available and he’s played in almost every game this season when players are off.”
As always, White has been a steady force for the Celtics throughout the first half of the 2025-26 NBA season, stepping up amid major roster changes.
White appeared in all 46 games as a starter, averaging 34.1 minutes per game. He averages 17.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.5 blocks per game while shooting 39.1 percent from the field, 32.2 percent from 3-point range, and 89.0 percent from the free-throw line.

White’s points represent a career-high mark and reflect his increased use in Boston’s offense during the roster adjustment period. His playmaking has also improved and he continues to provide elite defense. His blocks and steals contribute to the Celtics’ strong defensive identity. In recent appearances, he showed his versatility with a multi-category performance, recording a season-high 12 assists in one game and 15 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists in another.
Although there has been some variation in his shooting, including a noticeable drop in efficiency during parts of January, White’s overall contributions remain significant. He took on a larger leadership role after offseason changes, including coaching the team’s younger players.
The Celtics sit at 30-18, and White’s two-way reliability positions him as a key piece to Boston’s push towards the playoffs. His consistent performance and defensive impact make him a strong candidate to be evaluated, as was echoed by teammates and coaches earlier in the season.
