I am at a stage in this game where it is very important to see how the teams fighting for relegation perform in these head-to-head matches.
I think the bottom two teams, Wolves and Burnley, have fallen, but I don’t know what West Ham will do from here.
This is huge for both teams as Leeds and Nottingham Forest both have 26 points.
From Leeds’ point of view, their strong performance at home this season has contributed greatly.
Arsenal gave us a tough time at Elland Road last weekend, but they’ve shown that they’re competitive as the season progresses, so we’ll have to put that behind us for this game.
In fact, Forest’s away form has been better than their home form, with them picking up 14 points away from home compared to 12 at the City Ground in the same number of games.
Sean Dyche’s side were comfortable with 10 men in their last draw against Crystal Palace and have won their last two away games against Brentford and the Hammers. Overall, they are unbeaten in four league games, which is their longest unbeaten streak in a season.
As you can see, I have looked at all the statistics for you, but will my research help me make my predictions correct? Probably not.
This will be a very close game and Forest won’t be worried about holding much possession, but with Chris Wood wide out, scoring goals is a bigger problem for them – only Wolves have scored less than them.
Forest brought in 6ft 7in striker Lorenzo Lucca from Napoli on loan to fill the void left by Wood’s long-term knee injury, but he has not been doing well in Serie A this season.
So, after much consideration, I’m going to support Leeds at home, but I’m now saying it will probably end in a 1-1 draw.
Here are Sutton’s predictions: 2-1
Apollo’s prophecy: As I was watching the game, I was thinking about who was supporting whom on the Gladiators. Two of them, Giant and Hammer, are big Forest fans, so we’ll be aiming for Leeds to win here. It should be a good match though. 3-2
AI predictions: 2-1
