Santa Clara, California — ¡Felicidades!
The couple who appeared in Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime performance were legally married during halftime, league officials confirmed to ESPN.
The duo was spotlighted several times during Bad Bunny’s intricate and energetic show, starting with an early marriage proposal. In the middle of the set, the two got married, surrounded by backup dancers. The show also featured surprise performances by Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin, and featured guests such as actors Pedro Pascal and Jessica Alba and influencer Alix Earle, who performed Bad Bunny’s “La Casita.”
The show, which promoted unity and ended with a sign reading “The only thing more powerful than hate is love,” also featured Bad Bunny presenting a Grammy Award to a young boy, an act that some fans saw as a symbolic tribute to Liam Ramos, a 5-year-old boy who was recently detained by ICE in Minneapolis. Sources told ESPN that the child is an actor and not Ramos.
The couple originally invited Bad Bunny to their wedding. Instead, he gave them the ultimate wedding gift and invited them to get married during the halftime show.
Another Easter egg in this performance was the appearance of Tonita, a prominent figure in New York as the owner of Brooklyn’s Caribbean Social Club.
