Logan Paul’s rare Pokemon card sells for record auction price

You may have seen this card around Paul’s neck as he made his WrestleMania debut in 2022 when he teamed up with veteran WWE Superstar The Miz.

He originally purchased the card from Marwan Dubsey in Dubai and traded it in for an additional $4 million for a PSA grade 9 Pikachu Illustrator card.

“In 1998, only 39 were awarded to winners of the illustration contest, and this was the only purchase in the world to receive a 10-point rating,” he said.

Pikachu Illustrator is very popular among collectors as it was designed by Atsuko Nishida (Japan), is credited as the original creator of Pikachu.

It was not originally sold and was only released as a prize in a 1998 illustration contest.

Cards graded by Professional Sports Authenticators (PSA) are numbered based on characteristics such as perfectly rounded edges, sharp focus, and perfect original gloss.
