Portsmouth manager John Mousinho spoke to BBC Radio Solent after his side’s 3-1 win over fellow bottom rivals Charlton.

“I’m happy with the result and we put in a really good performance, a really strong performance to match.

“Think about the first minute or so when Nico saved us. When we have an important away win, when you look at it, it’s easy to forget that it was just a moment where we were slack defensively, but it could have sharpened us a little bit.”

“Then we were excellent for 55 minutes and I thought we deserved to take the lead. “We came on in the second half and Charlton made three changes so you might expect a different game.”

“But we came out and deserved to get the third point and then it got a little crazy. After that we made some very strange decisions that we didn’t make. But the fact that we were able to finish the game in difficult circumstances is really pleasing.”
