Urinary incontinence: “I couldn’t take my son swimming because I had to go every time there was a splash.” It affects everything.’

Lisa Watson says it’s hard for friends and family to understand how difficult her condition is

By anyone’s standards, Lisa Watson is a busy woman. The Wicklow-based mother of two is a risk manager for a credit union during the week and dons her make-up artist hat on the weekends. However, behind that busyness, there are women who are bound.

Ms Watson, 43, suffers from urinary incontinence and must wear sanitary pants and pads every day to manage her symptoms.
