Release dates of “ACOTAR” 6 and “ACOTAR” 7 revealed by Sarah J. Maas

Oh, and the seventh book has that too.

The author of the hugely popular A Court of Thorns and Roses series, as well as Throne of Glass and Crescent City, has revealed plans for his next two books.

  • October 27, 2026: “Acotar” 6
  • January 12, 2027: “Acotar” 7

The news was shared by Mars in a highly anticipated appearance on the podcast Call Her Daddy, and although it didn’t come with a title or cover art, she shared that these books will be part of one larger story told in three books.

“It came out of me in a way that surprised me,” she told host Alex Cooper. “I like to do part 1, part 2, and part 3. By the time I get to the end of part 1, it’s about 400 pages long.”

The first part of this story will be told in “ACOTAR” 6, and the second part will be told in “ACOTAR” 7. And the fourth and final part of this story will be drawn.

“This is meant to be read as one giant story,” she said.

This is an important update for Mars’ legion of fans who scour her interviews and social posts for even the smallest hint. Mars last shared development status with TODAY in January 2024, shortly after the release of his latest book. She was planning her next four books.Maas said, and the next book is “ACOTAR”. The next book is one she’s “really looking forward to,” but she declined to say which series it’s related to.

Mars, who made his publishing debut in 2012, is currently Huge catalog of 16 books Spanning three different Romantasy series — “A Court of Thorns and Roses”, also known as “ACOTAR”, “Throne of Glass”; “Crescent City” — all have huge fan bases, propelling Mars to the bestseller list.

ACOTAR is often the gateway to Mars’ world, but Mars hasn’t published a book in the series since 2021’s A Court of Silver Flames. Mars’ last two books, published in 2022 and 2024, were part of the “Crescent City” series. In 2023 Mars will new deal In addition to the three books he had already signed at the time, he signed a contract with publisher Bloomsbury for four more books.

“ACOTAR” celebrated its 10th anniversary last spring. The first novel introduces the reader to the world of Priscian. There, immortal beings called fey preside over a court system, sometimes at war with each other and other parts of the world.

The first three books in the series tell the story of Feyre, a human girl introduced to the fey world who, after killing one of the fey, is taken to a “Beauty and the Beast”-style spring court. Over the course of ACOTAR and its two sequels, A Court of Mist and Fury and A Court of Wings and Ruin, Feyre not only turns into a fey, but becomes a lady-in-waiting of one of the most feared courts.

Mars continued the series with the novella A Court of Frost and Starlight, then shifted focus to A Court of Silverfire, told from the dual perspectives of Feyre’s bitter and traumatized eldest daughter Nesta and her lover Cassian.
