Of course you can jump in GameCube Nintendo Classics series lineupwith a growing list of great ones, find some compatible gemstones. However, there are several other titles that allow you to use analog triggers on Switch 1 and Switch 2.
We thought we’d put together a quick and handy guide to help you identify these hidden Switch games with analog trigger functionality.
Let’s take a look!
All Switch 1 and 2 games that use analog triggers
This is a small list, but it’s an alphabetical list of all analog trigger games confirmed for the Switch (2).
F-Zero GX (GCN)
This is a game where many people picked up a GC controller in the first place. F-Zero GX As you probably already know, it utilizes the GameCube’s analog triggers to give you even more control over the game’s ridiculously sharp corners.
grid autosport
grid autosport was launched on good review We also liked the inclusion of analog compatibility. This means you can really get into the groove of driving and get the most out of the game as you drift for miles on straightaways. Heck, if my friends will let me, I’ll drift off in the pit.
Is it unrealistic? yes. fun? Also, yes.
grid legend
Another GRID, and this time legend Variety.
This upcoming Switch 2 racer, like its predecessor, confirmed Make the most of the NSO GameCube controller’s triggers to maintain how well its (still excellent) predecessors play on Nintendo’s consoles.
luigi mansion
Oh, Luigi. A completely clumsy balloon of a man. How much we love you and especially considering that luigi mansion You can use the analog triggers on your fancy new NSO GameCube controller to give you very fine control over the suction power of your supernatural hoover.
It turns out that arguing with ghosts requires a little more finesse than we thought Luigi was capable of.
super mario sunshine
available as part of Mario 3D All Stars (and is confirmed to be coming to NSO on Switch 2 at some point), super mario sunshine — The only 3D Mario game this writer has yet to beat. *gulp* — Also makes good use of analog triggers.
Here, dear reader, these tools are in place to give you more control over the spray pressure of your Flash Liquidizer Ultra Dowsing Device (that’s FLUDD for you).
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker This is another GCN effort using analog. This time, pressing the left trigger halfway will center the game’s camera, and pressing it fully will aimlock the target.
Trials Rising
Horrifyingly difficult and almost laughably demanding, Trials Rising It’s the kind of game that makes you wince just thinking about it. Mostly ragdolls and then some, I’ve never fallen half way off my bike at speed a million times in this game. So we’re lucky that this game uses analog triggers to provide maximum throttle control.
Vroom, vroom and all the other whims.

FAQ
Before we begin, let’s answer some questions about analog triggers.
Will the original GameCube controller work as well?
Yes, you can play on the Switch using any GameCube controller via the GameCube Controller Adapter for the console, and the analog triggers should work correctly with the games listed above.
Will third party pads with analog triggers work?
no! Unfortunately, triggering the GameCube controller is your only option at the moment.
Why are analog triggers useful?
Especially for racers, a normal button press turns your vehicle into a rocket, going full speed or no speed at all, which may require some tweaking and remapping if you’re serious about control. This is not ideal, and is an issue that applies to some degree in any game where trigger sensitivity is important, where you need complete control over your drift. Oh, if you think about it, we’re very pro gamers.
Analog triggers provide subtle throttle control, making driving like a pro easier and even possible. In other games, such as Mario Sunshine, you can use analog triggers to control the flow of water (and the strength of the water flow) from your jetpack. Not just ON/OFF.
And that is your destiny so far. Be sure to check back as more compatible titles are added as they are released. Oh, and let us know if there are any games you think should support this feature (or even some rare games that already have support but we’re missing!)
