AP Men’s College Basketball Top 25 Voting Breakdown

There are only five undefeated teams left in the 2025-26 men’s college basketball season, and four of them are in the top 10 in this week’s Associated Press poll.

While Arizona State remains in first place, Michigan State suffered its first loss of the season to Wisconsin on Saturday, dropping two spots. Iowa State University, University College, and Purdue remain in the top five. Undefeated Nebraska moves into eighth place, while Vanderbilt, also undefeated, moves into 10th place.

Florida State (No. 19), Clemson (No. 22), Utah State (No. 23) and Seton Hall (No. 25) all made the rankings this week, as Iowa, Kansas, SMU and UCF dropped out.

Virginia showed the biggest increase (7th place), while Illinois and North Carolina each saw small increases (3rd place).

The University of Alabama dropped five spots to 18th place after the loss to Texas, but other teams that have dropped include the University of Georgia and the University of Tennessee.

Let’s take a look at the top 25 teams, how they got there, and what’s next for each team this week.
