Gar Lake Visitor Center and Lakeshore Park will be hosting a biodiversity workshop for children this Friday, February 20th. There are two to choose from. One from 9 a.m. to noon and the other from 1 to 4 p.m.

Both are aimed at children aged 7 to 12 and teach about the rich natural life around Gar Lake and how to protect and care for it. Activities include soaking in a pond and planting seeds.

The camp, which will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on February 19 and 20, is open to children aged 4 to 8 and promises two days of magic, pixie dust and fairy fun. Children will participate in activities such as dance, drama, and fairy arts and crafts. You will also be given your own fairy wings, fairy crown, and magic wand upon completing your training.
