NASA begins false costume rehearsal Thursday night
NASA’s Artemis 2 mission operators are preparing the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket for its final critical test before launch.
The SLS wet dress rehearsal simulates the mission countdown in which the ground team powers up and fuels the rocket as a final preliminaries before Artemis 2 launches to the moon.
NASA is targeting a call to the station on Thursday (January 29th) at 8pm ET (20:00 GMT), approximately 49 hours before Saturday’s simulated launch time of 9pm ET (2am February 1st).
If the tests go well, NASA may choose to move forward with Artemis 2’s February launch window, which begins February 6-10.
