Bhuvanagiri Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy has accused former minister T. Harish Rao of misleading residents of Madhu Park Ridge housing complex near Musi river and trying to shift the blame to the government.
Speaking to the media on Sunday, the lawmaker dismissed Harish Rao’s claims. “He is spreading lies about the government every day,” Kiran Kumar Reddy said.
The lawmaker also alleged that the builder of the Madhu Park Ridge apartments violated rules by securing permission for only a 9-metre buffer at Musi River, when a Government Order (GO) mandated a 30-metre buffer. He said the previous government had given arbitrary permissions in Hyderabad.
“The residents of the apartments are now suffering because of the bad actions of the previous BRS government. People bought the apartments without knowing. It is not the people’s fault,” he said, promising that the Congress government would provide compensation to the displaced people and take legal action against builders and officials responsible for violations.
Highlighting the development agenda of the government, he said Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is committed to transforming Hyderabad through initiatives such as Metro Phase 2, Mushi Rejuvenation Project, RRR and Future City Project.
