Luca Nardi has won four of his last five matches. Last week in Manama, Nardi reached the Challenger final, but lost to Jaquet in a close three-set match. He has never made it past the opening round here. The Italian is hoping for solid results this week to break into the top 100 of the rankings.

According to the bookmakers, this will be a 50-50 matchup, but we don’t think so. Nardi is doing better than Basiashvili. He had a solid run in similar conditions in Manama last week. Meanwhile, Basilashvili has suffered some tough losses against lower-ranked players in recent weeks.
Having said that, Nardi’s victory is a worthwhile gamble.

Last season in Montpellier, the Dutchman lost in the opening game to Griekspur in straight sets. He has never made it past the opening round here.

According to the bookmakers, Humbert is the favorite to win this matchup, and we agree. He is one of the best players on indoor hard courts. The Frenchman has a 5-0 lead in head-to-head matches with Van de Zandsschulp and we hope he can extend that winning streak.
Having said that, It’s a worthwhile bet that Humbert will cover the match handicap.

He has never made it past the opening round here. Carreño-Busta lost to Kovacevic in a qualifying tournament last season.

According to the bookmakers, this will be an almost 50-50 matchup, but we don’t think so. Kecmanovic is a better indoor hard court player than Carreno-Busta. The Spaniard needs more time to prepare his groundstrokes. Kecmanovic has a 2-0 lead in head-to-head matches and is expected to score his third win against the Spaniard.
Having said that, A Kecmanovic win is a worthwhile gamble.
