“The Super Bowl halftime show is absolutely awful, one of the worst ever! It makes no sense, it’s an insult to American greatness, and it doesn’t represent our standards of success, creativity, and excellence. No one can understand a word this guy is saying and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young kids watching from all over America and around the world,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“This ‘show’ is just a ‘slap in the face’ to our country, which is setting new standards and records every day, including the best stock market in history and the best 401(k) in history! There’s nothing inspiring about this mess with the halftime show and the clock, but it’ll get great reviews from the fake news media, because they have no idea what’s going on in the real world.By the way, the NFL should replace that ridiculous new show with the Kickoff Rule. Let’s make America great again! ”
Prominent conservative influencers were among the show’s harshest critics, even Harmeet Dhillon, the U.S. Department of Justice’s assistant attorney general for civil rights, chimed in.
One of the biggest criticisms of the show was that it was almost entirely in Spanish.

Other users even connected the show to the ongoing debate in the country about illegal immigration and deportations by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
But some fans and sports stars, including former NFL star JJ Watt and New York Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson, praised the show.
The show ended with the message “The only thing more powerful than hate is love” on the Levi Stadium videoboard, which some critics interpreted as a political message.
The show was expected to be the first Super Bowl halftime show sung entirely in Spanish. However, pop artist Lady Gaga showed up and sang the Bruno Mars song “Die With a Smile.”
Bad Bunny wore a mock football jersey that read “Ocasio 64.” It will be Ocasio’s last night. Some have suggested that this number may refer to the number of deaths from Hurricane Maria, as initially claimed by the Puerto Rican government. This number was later revised to closer to 3,000.
Many fans chose to skip this year’s Super Bowl halftime show to watch Turning Point USA’s “All-American” halftime show, headlined by Kid Rock, which included Pro Football Hall of Famer Eric Dickerson Brett Favre and former ESPN host Sage Steele.

White House press secretary Caroline Levitt said the president will watch the “All American” halftime show.
“The president would prefer a Kid Rock performance over Bad Bunny, I have to say that,” Levitt told reporters at a White House press briefing on Thursday.

NFL Commissioner Championed by Roger Goodell Performer Bad Bunny will appear earlier this week.
“Listen, Bad Bunny is one of the great artists in the world, and I think that was proven last night. That’s one of the reasons we chose him,” Goodell said. “But the other reason was that he understood the platform that he was on, and this platform can be used to bring people together, to bring people together in creativity and talent, and to be able to use this moment to do that, and I think artists in the past have done that as well.
“I think Bad Bunny understands that and I think he’s going to give a great performance.”
