Stanford Live and Stanford Athletics, in collaboration with Live Nation, BTS World Tour “Arirang” Stanford Performance It will be held at Stanford Stadium on May 16th and 17th, 2026. The Stamford performance marks the group’s long-awaited return to the stage and is part of their largest world tour to date, with 79 performances in 34 territories. Of note, this tour features a 360 degree circular stage design. The immersive setup puts the audience at the center of the experience and allows for increased capacity across all venues.
These performances highlight Stanford University’s commitment to the role of music in shaping contemporary culture worldwide and the university’s unique ability to bring innovative shared experiences to students and the broader community. The group will be the second musical organization to perform at Stanford Stadium, following Coldplay’s first performance last year.

This tour’s show will be BTS’ first headline performance as a group since 2021-2022.Permission to dance on stage The tour includes 12 performances in Seoul, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. As one of the first K-Pop groups to achieve true global crossover success and break attendance and total attendance records around the world, BTS continues to redefine what’s possible in the genre with this massive stadium tour.

Stanford Stadium is a multi-purpose venue that has hosted a variety of events, including a combined audience of nearly 87,000 on two dates of Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour last spring. It has a seating capacity of 50,424 and is home to the Stanford Cardinal football program and various campus events, including the university’s annual Commencement Ceremony in June. Stanford Stadium’s rich history includes the moment in 1928 when former Stanford University football student manager Herbert Hoover gave his acceptance speech as the Republican presidential candidate. In 1962, during the height of Cold War tensions, track and field coach Peyton Jordan brought a dual competition between the United States and the Soviet Union to the stadium. The venue also hosted the 1985 Super Bowl between the San Francisco 49ers and Miami Dolphins, hosted six soccer games during the 1994 World Cup, and hosted the Stanford Concert Network in 2017 with a performance by DJ and music producer Zedd.
