I think Chelsea will have a lot of confidence from this game. [against Arsenal]. They really neutralized Arsenal, which wasn’t easy, especially at the Emirates.

Rosenior hasn’t taken long to address this problem. Players are playing out of position and have to learn where to hold the ball and where not to hold it.

But I could see they were working on the shape and press. Arsenal played fewer long balls as they struggled to find pockets in Chelsea’s compactness.

Maro Gusto moved into midfield and Enzo Fernandes moved to the left, but these are not their natural positions and they needed to learn.

If you look at the level of effort put in by the players, you can see that Coach Rosenior’s willingness to press them and want them to run for each other is starting to affect them.

You can see that the players are buying into that. There were no arms thrown in the air or complaints about each other.

Look at Fernandes. He covered every blade of grass with his effort level from the time of possession and then got involved in possession towards the end of the game and pushed his team forward.

These are the players you want other players to look to as examples and the players you want on your team.
