The three players are Tshegofatso Nyama to Magesi FC, Shaquille April to Stellenbosch FC and Jody Ah Chene to Mamelodi Sundowns.
“Cape Town City FC, an experienced activist, have sold three assets rumored to be around R20-million: Jody Ah Sheng to Mamelodi Sundowns, Shaquille April to Stellenbosch FC and Tshegofatso Nyama to Maghesi FC. The main reason was that Jody and April came out of the U20 Afcon and the U20 World Cup and the citizens were able to find a solution without them,” a source revealed to Soccer Laduma.
Soccer Laduma contacted Magesi FC professional Abel Lacoma who confirmed his interest in Nyama but could not confirm or deny the deal.
“The deal is not done yet. I may not be able to comment on a contract that is still pending. Let’s get it done first, I’ll make sure, brother. No, that’s what I’m saying. It may be done from their side, but it’s not from my side. It’s like releasing my daughter for lobola, but I haven’t paid the money yet. On your side, you released it. On my side, I haven’t received it yet. But yes, we are interested in the player,” Lacoma told Soccer. Laduma.
Cape Town City face a big test today against Kaslik Stars FC as second place takes on fourth place in the battle for the top of the league on an interesting afternoon in the Motsepe Foundation Championship League title race from 3:30pm at the Solomon Mahlangu Stadium in Mpumalanga.
