Captain Kerr’s record-breaking ton takes New Zealand ahead of T20WC | ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, 2026

Her contribution wasn’t just with the bat. Kerr, who was the leading wicket-taker in the last Women’s T20 World Cup, posted figures of 2/14 to seal a comprehensive 92-run victory.

Kerr recently took over the all-format captaincy from White Ferns legend Sophie Devine, who had announced her ODI retirement after last year’s ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in India and Sri Lanka.

New Zealand will be hoping their captain and ace all-rounder can maintain his form as they prepare for the first-ever 12-team T20 World Cup to be held in June-July.

They will be placed in Group B alongside hosts England, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Scotland and Ireland and will play their first match against the Windies at the Hampshire Bowl on June 13th.
