President Donald Trump just accused the mayor of Minneapolis and the governor of Minnesota of inciting an “insurrection.”

President Trump posted on social media, The handgun federal officials said the suspect was in possession of.

“Where are the local police? Why weren’t they allowed to protect ICE officers? Did mayors and governors fire them? Many of these police weren’t allowed to do their jobs and we’re told ICE had to protect themselves. That’s not easy!” he wrote.

Without providing evidence, President Trump accused local authorities of a “cover-up” to cover up theft and fraud.

He added, “The mayor and governor are inciting insurrection with their arrogant, dangerous and arrogant statements…Let our ice patriots do their job!”

President Trump has repeatedly threatened to invoke the rarely used Insurrection Act to quell unrest over a federal immigration crackdown in Minneapolis.

There are no public events on President Trump’s schedule today, but he does have a private screening of a documentary about his wife Melania tonight.
