Colombian singer Eison Jimenez dies in plane crash before concert

Eison Jimenez, a 34-year-old Colombian singer-songwriter, died in a plane crash just hours before the performance.

On Saturday, a plane crashed in the “airspace between Paipa and Duitama” in Colombia’s Special Administrative Department of Civil Aviation. Published in X. Six people on the plane died, one of whom was Jimenez.

“It is with a heavy heart and an indescribable pain that the organization and team of Eison Jiménez deeply regret to announce his passing,” a statement translated from Spanish from the musician’s official statement read. instagram account. “Today, we say goodbye not just to an artist, but to a son, a brother, a friend, and a human being full of dreams and courage who made his story the hope of thousands of people. Jimenez was traveling with five members of his team, including Jefferson Osorio, Juan Manuel Rodriguez, Oscar Marín and Wiseman Mora, as well as captain Fernando Torres, the statement said.

According to solarthe plane, believed to have been owned by Jimenez’s company YJ Company SAS, crashed shortly after takeoff. Jimenez was reportedly traveling to Medellin for a performance that night.

Jimenez recently revealed that he had a feeling he might die in a plane crash.

“I had three dreams where the plane crashed and I had to tell the pilot to turn back, and when the pilot arrived he would say, ‘Oh, boss, thank you for letting me know that something went wrong, but I fixed it, so you can get on,'” Jimenez said. Interview with Colombian TV station Caracol.

“That was a dream. In one of those dreams, I… had a dream that we were dead and on the news. It was the third time I had that dream. God gave me three signs, but I didn’t understand, I couldn’t understand,” Jimenez said.
