CPU will exceed the national pass rate in the teacher license exam in September 2025
Central Philippine University’s LET examiners enthusiastically participate in the licensing exam preparation sessions, reflecting the university’s strong culture of discipline and academic excellence.

Central Philippine University (CPU) has reaffirmed its commitment to excellence in teacher education after surpassing the national pass rate at both the elementary and secondary levels of the September 2025 Teacher Licensure Examination (LET) announced by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

The licensure exam, held nationwide on September 21, 2025, assessed the readiness of education graduates to enter the teaching profession at the primary and secondary levels.

CPU recorded a pass rate of 87.50 percent at the entry level, significantly higher than the national pass rate of 51.04 percent. Meanwhile, the university recorded a secondary level pass rate of 87.18 percent, higher than the national average of 72.62 percent.

CPU passers represent a variety of elementary specialties, including BEEd–General, Early Childhood Education, and Special Education, and beyond the numbers are stories of perseverance and purpose.

For one of the successful candidates, English major Mea Jade Octaviano, her journey to pass the LET was driven by a clear sense of purpose.

“I kept thinking about the students I would one day be in front of and the responsibility that comes with being called an educator,” Octaviano said.

She added that the sacrifices of those who supported her gave her the strength to persevere, especially in moments of doubt.

“Every time I felt tired, I reminded myself that a great education begins with dedication, even before I step into the classroom,” she said.

Looking to the future, Octaviano encouraged future educators to embrace both the challenges and purpose of the profession.

“Teaching is more than just a profession; it’s a calling. Stay curious, stay humble, and never stop learning. Your impact will live on beyond the classroom and in the students you inspire,” she said.

The September 2025 LET results not only reflect CPU’s strong performance on the national licensure exam, but also highlight CPU’s continued role in developing educators who teach with competence, compassion, and purpose.
