I remember a colleague once jokingly comparing Patrick Dawg to Gareth Bale when he was playing as a left-back for Tottenham earlier in his career.

Dorg put in a great performance against Manchester City last week, and this time he produced a sensational curling finish with the outside of his foot.

It’s hard to imagine Dorg coming close to Bale’s career, but Michael Carrick’s decision to push Dorg forward with Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesco remaining on the bench proved inspiring.
