The video shows Tehran’s night sky lit up by fires, with thick plumes of smoke coming from the city’s main commercial airport.

Explosions rocked the airport overnight and eyewitnesses reported a burning plane on the runway.

Israel earlier said it was launching a new wave of attacks on Iran, while US President Donald Trump said there would be “no deal” with Iran “except unconditional surrender.”

Residents of the Iranian capital told the BBC in Persian that “last night was the worst night” since the United States and Israel launched attacks on the country a week ago.
