darrellThe Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust has appointed an “experienced” new head of veterinary services at Jersey Zoo.
Dr. Nick Masters previously worked as a wildlife health officer at zoos in Toronto and London.
Darrell hoped that the appointment of a master would strengthen collaboration with other conservation zoos and help protect wild animals around the world.
“I’m very excited to join Darrell’s team,” Masters said. [Durrell]’s visionary mission to ‘save species from extinction’ is pioneering, and I was equally drawn to the Trust’s ‘Rewilding our world’ strategy and long-term vision. ”
darrell“Darrell is a great organization that has achieved even more global impact and believes it is possible to do so. I am delighted to be a part of it,” he said.
Zoo operations manager Mark Habben said: “Many people are unaware of the important role our veterinary teams play both at Jersey Zoo and in our field programs around the world, helping us provide the best possible care to all the animals in our care.”
