Overwhelming Rybakina earns ticket to AO2 round

“My comeback didn’t go well, but it was only a matter of time. I played every game. [getting] “There are some mistakes here and there, that’s for sure,” Rybakina said. [the] In the first game, I hope to play even better. ”

At AO 2025, Rybakina lost in the fourth round to eventual champion Madison Keys, but the result came on the heels of a solid season in which she won three titles, including the coveted WTA Finals crown in Riyadh.

If she can keep her seeding, the Kazakh star is expected to advance to next week’s quarter-finals. Rybakina first needs to pick up her third career win against her second-round opponent Varvara Gracheva, and will take a boost of confidence from the fact that she has never lost more than three games in a set against the Frenchwoman.
