The Federal Ministry of Environment has approved a partnership between the National Clean Air Program and Oxitane Africa Investments Limited on Oxitane’s fuel-independent technology to reduce internal combustion engine emissions across the country.
The partnership was disclosed to the press on Friday by the general manager of OXYTANE, lawyer Dr. Eseosa Vanesa Oviawe.
He said the company welcomed the partnership and the approval of the Federal Ministry of Environment.
Oviawe explained that Oxytane’s innovative fuel-dependent technology and products are proven to be fuel efficient and reduce carbon emissions in all combustion engines using refined hydrocarbon fuels such as gasoline, diesel and DPK.
According to her, “Oxytane products are recognized and known for their ability to reduce emissions by 70%.”
He noted that this partnership will help Nigeria achieve its goal of reducing emissions by 2040.
“We are very optimistic as we believe that this partnership between the National Clean Air Program and Oxitane Africa Investment Limited will also help businesses achieve the mandated emissions compliance baseline under the Nigeria Carbon Market Framework approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
“This approval and partnership comes at the right time and presents an opportunity for fossil fuel companies to meet their emissions reduction targets, reap the benefits of fuel efficiency and use Oxitane’s fuel-dependent products as key to carbon credit programs.”
She concluded that “Oxitane is available for sale, reliable and distributed across the country by NNPC Retail Limited through authorized dealers and operating stations.”
