Hemsworth teases Thor’s ‘unique’ future

Six months ago, Australian actor Chris Hemsworth seemed uncertain about the future of the Thor character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe beyond the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday.

Speaking to the BBC in August, he said: [Avengers: Doomsday] “We’re unraveling all of that as we speak and figuring out where each character is going.”

After completing a shortened six-month stint promoting Crime 101, which is currently in theaters, the actor seems positive that Thor will surpass Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.

speak at smartless podcast (via playlist), Hemsworth has hinted that he may have “a few more chances” to play the character.

“I was talking to Kevin Feige about this and he said it was cool because audiences are now expecting dramatic character developments. Whatever we do next, we also have some ideas to do something pretty unique and hopefully that will happen.” [different]”

Hemsworth also said that tone is a balancing act and that what he learned from the previous film was a great example of taking things too far in one direction.

“You have to be careful, when we made Ragnarok, there was quite a twist in Taika’s case. [movie]. And it was a lot of fun.
