The case is a 32-year-old woman who developed fever, sore throat, cough, red eyes and rash on February 28. She sought medical attention from a private doctor on March 4 and was immediately referred to the Accident and Emergency Department at Princess Margaret Hospital, where she was admitted for treatment.

His clinical sample tested positive for the measles virus after a nucleic acid test. The patient is currently receiving treatment in isolation and is in stable condition.

An epidemiological investigation revealed that the patient had not received the measles vaccine and had no travel history during the incubation period.

He has three contacts at home. Five additional people who visited your residence during the incubation period are also classified as close contacts. All eight close contacts reported having received the measles vaccine and are currently asymptomatic.
