Throughout February, LEGO authorized stores across South Africa were giving away free roses to children who visited. Aside from being a giveaway, this rose is a unique construction, meaning it was coveted by Lego fans of all ages.
Unfortunately, for all ages, this promotion ended after the month of love. But don’t worry. We visited one of the stores and got some images of the instructions so you can assemble the roses at home.
The instructions below also include a handy parts list so you can gather the parts yourself. You need less than 30 pieces here, some of which are rarer than others.
We recommend checking third party sites Brick Owl Find Your Work – A platform where stores offer products that can be purchased on demand. There are currently 42 Brick Owl stores in South Africa and you should be able to get your hands on one or more of these rose pieces.
For those who simply want to purchase sets directly from Lego, there are plenty of options. Lego has the following themes: Botanicals (also known as “Botanical Collection”) Can be constructed using dozens of flowers, trees, and other foliage.
When it comes to roses, you have three options to choose from. Classic red roses can be purchased as follows: Pair for R269 or as Bouquet of R1 099.
The bouquet is also available in pink. It sells locally for R1,099. Both bouquets come with four sprigs of white baby’s breath, which not only add variety to the finished model, but also transform the building experience.
These prices are suggested retail prices in South Africa and you may be able to get a lower price using the guide below.
