Investigators say Samson Nacua got into the vehicle by mistake.

LOS ANGELES — Samson Nacua, the younger brother of Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua, will not be charged after being arrested last month on suspicion of operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent, Los Angeles’ ABC7 reported Thursday.

Samson Nacua and another man, Trey Rose, were arrested by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department in December on suspicion of stealing Lakers forward Adu Tierro’s car.

But on Thursday, LASD’s West Hollywood Station told ABC7 that Samson Nacua believed it was Puka’s car. He owns a vehicle that is similar in model and color to the vehicle owned by Tierro.

As a result, Tierro did not want to press charges, sources told ABC7.

Samson Nacua played college football at Utah State and BYU. On Wednesday, he was drafted by the UFL’s Birmingham Stallions. In April, the UFL suspended Nacua, who was playing for the Michigan Panthers, for one game for slapping a fan.
