Coach Inzaghi thanks Al Hilal management for their efforts and praises his team’s performance against Al Faiha

Italian Simone Inzaghi, manager of Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, has expressed full confidence in the club’s management and their ability to effectively strengthen the team’s line-up during the current winter transfer window. He stressed that the decision to sign midfielders and forwards was the right one and the right one for the team.

In a statement published in Asharq Al-Awsat, Inzaghi clarified that relying on set-pieces is not a replacement for the role of a striker, but rather an essential element in football and one of the most important sources of goalscoring.

He pointed out that the technical staff includes set-piece specialists, and players like Pablo Mari and Rajami have exceptional ability when executing set-pieces and long throw-ins.

The Italian coach spoke about their attacking roles in the team, confirming that Marcos Leonardo and Nunez excel as complete strikers. Nunez, on the other hand, performed well as a winger during the match, covering multiple positions during Salem Al Dossari’s absence, playing as number 7 and number 11.

Coach Inzaghi praised his team’s performance from the get-go in the 4-1 victory over Al Faiha, explaining that Al Hilal were the attacking side and succeeded in scoring against an organized opponent.

The coach also praised the performance of forwards Malcolm, Marcos Leonardo and Nunez, noting that they deserved their continued efforts to do their best and score goals.

Al Hilal are preparing to face Al Riyadh next Sunday as part of round 18 of the Saudi Pro League.
