Barewolf has been in freefall since taking the life of prisoner Ray Walters in Emmerdale.
The beloved character, played by Joshua Richards, endures months of slavery on the farm of Ray (Joe Absolom) and Celia Daniels (Jay Griffiths), where he is forced to live and work in horrific conditions.
He was subjected to various types of abuse and witnessed another victim die in his arms. Bear eventually escapes from the farmhouse and corners Ray, strangling him to death.
Sons Paddy Dingle (Dominic Blunt) and Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) witnessed the murder and helped load Ray’s body into the back of Jay Sharma’s (Chris Bisson) car.
They then choose to hide Bear from the outside world to avoid burying their evil secret. He eventually reveals everything to a counselor and is released on bail by a police officer, but is still haunted by his actions.

After a discussion with Ray’s ex-partner, Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy), Bear returns home and breaks a mirror, cutting his hand in the process.
In Friday’s article, Baer showed up at the hospital seeking emergency treatment. The nurse confirmed that she would be seen at the earliest opportunity, but that she would have to wait her turn.
His patience is wearing thin, and resident doctor Jacob Gallagher (Joe Warren Plant) takes him to a private room and attempts to perform initial treatment on his injured hand. Bear began to panic and grabbed Jacob from behind, amounting to a wrestling tackle.
As hospital security escorted Bear to a nearby room, Jacob collapsed to the ground in pain.

Paddy and his wife Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) arrive at the hospital to find that a psychiatric team has been called in. While debating what is best for their father, they realize that his father has disappeared.
Outside on the dark road, the bear followed the flow of traffic. where is he heading? Is there any possibility of harm?
Spoilers for next week reveal that Paddy is devastated after spending the night searching for Bear without success.
Things soon get even worse for Paddy and Dylan when DS Walsh (Amanda Ryan) comes to visit them following Bear’s bail breach and assault on Jacob in hospital. Bear will be taken into custody if his whereabouts are determined.
Worried, Paddy eventually finds Bea, who is suffering in agony next to Anya Berisha’s (Alia Al Shabibi) empty grave, and gently coaxes her father back into the car.
Paddy realizes he must notify DS Walsh and believes he can prevent Bear’s immediate imprisonment by funding his admission to a secure mental health facility, but will his plan succeed?
